Meet Shawn Reed: Your Trusted Home Inspector
I come from the small town of Levelland, Texas in the Texas Panhandle. After graduating from Texas Tech in 1996, I embarked on a journey that would lead me to the picturesque Hill Country. Let me share my story:
Austin Adventures:
- In 1999, I made Austin my home. The city’s fast-paced environment intrigued me, and I found myself working for a dot com startup.
- Soon, fate intervened—the startup was acquired by Charles Schwab. My time in Austin was eventful, but something more awaited me.
Hill Country Calling:
- Fredericksburg, nestled in the Hill Country, beckoned. I traded the city buzz for the tranquility of running a guesthouse.
- But that wasn’t all. I rolled up my sleeves and built a second house on the property—an exhilarating hands-on adventure.
Property Management and Remodeling:
- Over the years, I managed these properties diligently. Eventually, I sold them, but my passion for construction remained.
- Teaching construction and welding at Marble Falls High School expanded my knowledge base. Learning became my compass.
The Home Inspection Path:
- Encouragement from my wife and students nudged me toward a new career path.
- Today, as a full-time home inspector, I find that it’s not just a job—it’s a perfect fit.
